What the hell is
Arsene Wenger thinking, just what is he
@%#$@ thinking! Is he coming to age or does he think his squad is so pro that he can afford to rotate whenever he likes. Just when Arsenal's inspiritional skipper Thierry Henry is announced injured until next year, many would thought Wenger would stick with Adebayor for the crucial Portsmouth match. Before the match started, Arsenal is then trailing Man Utd by 16 points, and to have maximum chances of winning Portsmouth to minimize their gap with the leaders, Adebayor would be the obvious choice as lone striker.
However, maybe Wenger got bribed by Harry Redknapp or sthing, he played Aliadere, who is a damn reserve striker and has not even played a single minute in the Premiership. Perhaps Wenger wanted to rest Adebayor, but his plan backfired badly when Arsenal's youthful defence team conceded 2 goals by Pamarot and Taylor. Suddenly, the laggy Wenger then realised it was time to field in Adebayor... Adebayor then came in in the 55th minute and guess what, he scored in the 58th minute! Imagine what could have happened if Adebayor started the match... Aliadere was hopeless as lone striker and his lack of playing time could be clearly seen in his poor technique in passing, shooting and finishing.
Adebayor the super-sub then inspired the Gunners to score when Gilberto Silva, the stand-in captain made it 2-2 when he scored in the 60th min. Sudenly, Arsenal have hope of winning this game! But unfortunately, the score ended as it is. Blame it on the new Emirate's stadium or Ljunberg being forced to be substituted by Theo Walcott in the 5th minute due to a hamstring injury. Personally for me, I feel that it was Arsene Wenger's idiotic team selection that led to them dropping 2 points. . . Adebayor should have played!

Haiz, but overall, Arsenal showed great determination to grab a precious point and I have to highlight Gilberto's sudden proness. Being a stand-in captain for Henry, Gilberto looked like a different man. You could see him dominating the central midfield position with Fabregas and could also see him attack sometimes. He also showed great nerves by converting 3 penalties this season. Besides, he saved Arsenal from conceding goals a few times, one example would be the Chelsea match where he prevented Drogba from scoring a goal which many deemed was doomed for goal. Gilberto is indeed performing very well and is living up to expectations as a captain. So good job man!
Ooh... Not to forget the liverpool match. Liverpool looked so dominant in the match against Charlton ytd. Alonso, Bellamy and Gerrard scored to allow Liverpool to clinch 3 points to minimize their gap to 13 points. Perhaps Liverpool is gaining form, however, I feel that their squad's potential is limited and i have this sneakty feeling that they will start losing again. LOL...
Maybe Liverpool got a new boss who is some Dubai businessman known as Sheikh Mohamed Bin Dunno Wat, then all the players become damn imba. Lol... but excellent performance by the Kops ytd.

Tonite got West Ham against Manchester United and Everton against Chelsea, gonna watch Man Utd match and not Chelsea one coz chelsea sux to the core man, despite having such a imba team, they still wanna spam players. But lucky this season Man Utd is keeping up the pace. So gd luck to Man Utd and not so gd luck for Chelsea :)
