I was reading the New Paper today and i happened to come across this article about the Inter-JC Prom Nite competition held at Zouk. Good-looking girls and guys from JCs all around Singapore go head to head with one another to earn the once-in-a-lifetime chance of being S'pores first Prom Queen and King.
Students in order to win this stiff competition, must prove to the judges that they have the charisma, the popularity from the audience, exceptional elegance and a well-liked personality. It is undoubtedly an arena where students let out their glamourous side, unlike their usual mundane uniform outlook.
For the girls, everything from their facial features, figure proportion to their dressing style will be heavily scrutinised to ensure that the finest lady will be able to clinch this prestigious award. On the other hand for the guys, their natural charm and dress sense will also play a part to see who is suitable to be the one and only Prom King.
In the end, guess what? Hwa Chong Institution were given the honour when Colin, from HCI, standing at 193 cm, won the chance of being S'pores 1st Prom King. Kudos to him! However, I'm not so sure if the school board would be too proud about this though...
Then, who became the Prom Queen? Everyone thought it was the ACJC girl, however...
It was Phua Shih Wen from Jurong JC that clinched the award.
These 2 people not only clinched the award, but also secured themselves with cash awards, and a career in modelling as they were being offered a contract by a modelling agency...
Ain't it cool? Ok, this post is random.
